As you all know, the festive celebration of Christmas has past us and the cold darkness of winter and the prospect of a new year will shortly be upon us!

So, n00bstories is throwing a New Years Eve party!

Hordes of n00bs and pros will descend upon our very own n00bsvr01 to frag away what will be the rest of the year 2009, and to make way for a new decade and new year. The teamplayers will most certainly be found in our Teamspeak server which you are welcome to join, and I personally recommend it if you want to have the best teammates possible!

If you haven't already caught on phprenbot will turn the server into a overnight, hooligan stomping, snowball throwing drinking-game; some of you may have seen it years past and enjoyed the calamity it brings, others may not. We'll be having a whole lot of fun and everyone is welcome to join the server!

Where: n00bsvr01 aka a0000000 - ts.n00bstories.com
When: December 31st 6PM - January 1st 6AM
What to bring: Renegade Disc and your favourite thing to drink

~Cheers!

So this means, that you all will play away from 2009 to 2010?

...

All of you?

The hours should cover the US turning to midnight through the time zones. We created a "drinking game" mode on our bot a couple years ago that instructs you to take a shot (or a sip of your drink) whenever you:

* Die
* Your beacon is disarmed
* Your team loses a building
* You are in a vehicle that gets destroyed
* (probably more things I can't remember)

And of course everyone gets on TeamSpeak so you can hear your teammates descend into drunken messes. Smile

I'm the bawss.

I guess this means Renegade X shouldn't be advertising either. Sarcasm

When was that rule made?...

A bunch of communities have done threads like this before, and there's never been an issue. Why beef?

I'm bored to tears. Also since it's from a rules thread from this forum, I think this rule is meant for General Discussion forums only, that's why.

No, those rules are more or less global. Announcement of events like this is perfectly valid, I don't see why we should stifle the advertising of any community, anyone is welcome to advertise events, provided no Rene-Drama occurs, or that the volume of advertising becomes too large.

Or, that's how we enforce that rule, anyhow.

I am currently not drinking, due to the fact I'm driving almost all the time.
