Picture quality is not perfect, but it's still some nice views.
Oh and anyone wanting to see £400s worth of plane being destroyed then don't waste your time watching the video.

Oh and for those people who did want to see a crash, I don't think you could see one more spectacular than this one;

As you can see, the landing is a bit heavy. Heavy enough to destroy the engine, airframe and all electronics. The impact was so strong that even little things like small components in the receiver and servos had been completely ripped off the circuit board. The carburettor in the engine had snapped clean off. I suspect the crash was caused by a gust of wind which as you can see in the video, caused the wing to come away from the fuselage. I imagine it didn't sit quite right and jammed the servo. Nothing, at all was salvageable. I could probably fix the engine, but it's over 5 years old and I will let it rest in piece.

Anyone wondering if I'm blaming a gust of wind, no. It was my fault for overestimating the rubber bands, which are very strong. Next time I will use a lot tougher ones.

Sad to see it go, that was a lovely flyer. Oh well, live and learn.

That's so cool, but it sucks that you crashed it.

The road I cruise is a bitch now, baby.

Colonel

Why does the date say 1980? How did you get the film if nothing was salvagable? That had to suck. I hope it does happen to ours. \/ \/
My dad is working on a scaled up x4 version of a 45 inch (1.4 meters)wingspan B17 model. Wingspan is 14 feet not including the foot wide fuselage, like 13 feet long, and has 4 50 cc weedwacker motors for engines. I'll try to get a picture of where we are.

The date is wrong, and the camera was ok.

Good luck with the bomber, that will look great in the air.

It depends on the transmitter. Mine is (I think) up to 1 mile with line of sight. Generally, though, I can't fly it out that far because it's too small to see above 400ft.

I will be taking this "SLAB" (as it's called) out tomorrow night, it's either going to not work at all or it's going to work great Smile
