Hello, my first post here... if a similar thread exist, im sorry!
I played Renegade after Release for some years (and hell, that was fun), but then it was unplayable, the ping went on every server over 200 (for me it was impossible to play).
How is it today? Can i play with a ping which is lower than 100? Are there enough players?
I never installed any modification, but i think Renegade still lives because of them. Would somebody tell me something about Renegade - today?

Renegade still has a pretty solid playerbase considering how old of a game it is. Definitely worth playing still, if you can find a good server.
If you have lag problems, though, it might be your computer?

First of all, thank you for the friendly comments. It doesn't happen often (today) that new people were treated that way 
In the past the lags were not only my problem, everyone I knew had pings like me. And after that I thought Renegade were given up.
But its good to hear that its possible to play one of the best games I knew.
So I have to find at first my Renegade, hadn´t touched it for many years
