If you guys read here this gives a few tweaks to do using the CMD.

http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=2574

Id like to know from people more smarter then me if you think its safe or maybe if it will work, I'v done it and see no difference.

Some web sites say disable this and that to increase speed while others say no like the website above, Which is the only site that explains anything instead of telling you what to do.

Generally unless your actually having problems with your connection you should just leave the settings alone. While you may be able to eke a slight performance gain *in some scenarios* from fiddling with the settings, you may also degrade performance in other scenarios or potentially cause some programs to stop working properly.

Basically it boils down to dont fix whats not broken... There are hundreds of tips on how to make your computer/internet run faster but many of them will effect other things from working properly. Generally turn off the things you dont use will help your system greatly. A virus/spyware in-depth check once every 2 weeks will also improve performance in all areas.

There's no way to say definitively that something works or doesn't because it all depends on your unique connection, your network, etc. The default settings are great for generic setups.

The usual program way to get a better connection and get better download speeds is by using Firefox, and simiply just to get a better internet connection, also if your downloading a file from a server that is capped then the best alternative is to get it from a server that is not capped or at least capped to a speed that won't affect your download speed because the cap speed is faster than the speed of your I.S.P and their provided speed to you.

Your best option bet is to get a better signal from you I.S.P or your internet service provider.
