Suspended? That's a bit much just for breaking a rule like that though if you have been caught doing it before I can understand why you got suspended.

At my school if you are caught doing that you get your computer privileges taken away(account deleted).

they were gonna give me a week suspension but this cop whos a friend of mine helped me out and gave me three days for taking full responsibility...still pretty fucked up 2 kids got caught one got 5 day suspension another was not here today (he ditched before class) and another was caught but he let him get away and they gave me the full punishment since i was the first one to do it to do some research i will admit i went on myspace 1 time for 5 minutes to find a picture but i used 99.9% of time for research while others looked up porn and shit

I guess it would really depend on what teacher you get caught by, some teachers will just be like "get off of that site" or "get off the computer" and others will be like "go to the office".

these 2 students got caught by the tech guy and then told the discipline teacher and the school cop and then i guess if someone snitched or somehow found out it was me

Just don't get caught in the first place Smile
They suspended you because you were bypassing their (lame) efforts to stop you accessing sites they did not want you to, hence in their vocabulary you were hacking. I don't know why they use a black-list system, when a white-list one would work much better, only allowing sites they have listed.

Overmeasured punishments on small "crimes" is an often used solution to prevent people from doing these crimes. It usually fails as well as you got no credibility at all. They'd be better off taking your computer account away for a month or so.

You must master the art of tab-fu. Only once you become one with your windows and learn to conceal forbidden sites with the flick of a finger will you be able to claim the ultimate power!

Proxy sites? Hacking? That's a face-palm right there... but that's what happens when you give morons who know fuck-all about technology admin positions. Enjoy your time off and be more careful next time.

That's What You Get For Retarded Typing In Titles.

and not using any punctuation in the rest of the message it is highly annoying if one doesn't use simple punctuation and one doesn't even try to use decent grammar look if you are dyslectic ok i can understand you make an error sometimes, but this is pure bullshit.

Viva la Resistance!
Firefox + MinimizeToTray extension also.

Funnily enough, while my school automatically put IE through their proxy they don't block the normal port 80 anyway, so using Firefox gets past it all without any effort. ._.

*chuckle*
I learned my school's proxy IP adress by logging in as admin, simply by removing the network cable half-way through the logon process. Gotta love the Novell client!
