Ah, the Renegade forums, where even a thread about Legos can turn into a flamewar in a single page of posting.

Serious business, kids. Serious business. Don't forget that.

So anything which serves no useful end is a worthless waste of time? Gee, I must be really fucked. Thanks for showing me the error of my video-gaming, rocket-launching, model-building, coin-collecting, book-reading, movie-watching, target-shooting, music-listening ways. I'll just lay down my frivolous pursuits and turn to a life of hard labor and poverty. I have seen the light!

...or maybe I'll post some random Lego links. Enjoy.

I was not being totally serious and all could have stopped right there after Carrier posted (to which I agreed). But 2 other people felt the need to come in and vomit something on me and the ensuing flamewar is not my fault.

I've always used "Lego" as a plural world like Sheep, "The house was made out of Lego" and not "Legos". However "Lego" is technically an adjective to describe the brand of bricks, so we should all be saying "the house was made out of Lego bricks"

No, actually. Lego is a proper noun, not an adjective. You can't use the word Lego to describe anything.

"The weather is Lego."

It doesn't make sense. It is a proper noun, that is why it is capitalized. It is perfectly alright to say "That house is made out of Legos." Saying "That house is made out of Lego bricks" is also alright, and it means the exact same thing.

The boat that exploded was made of MegaBlocks, not Legos. Huh

I've got that boat somewhere, and because it was Mega Bloks, I always wanted to creatively destroy it...

Edit: you can tell that the writer of the Star Wars ship article is one of those single nerdy internet adults who finds weird stories like this to write about for a living. How?
The use of the word "vajillion" to count the number of pieces. What's he got on his mind for this evening?

Legos, man, that brings back memories. I used to play with Legos like mad back in the days. Me and my buddy from a young age actually played out Command & Conquer with them. Yes, we played Command and Conquer with Legos, although it wasn't the same. We focused alot on the little dudes and storylines with them and the typical Command & Conquer routine (base building, vehicle combat, etc.) was sort of secondary, but we did follow the base building and vehicle building. We'd even draw out the infantry training and stuff. First we had the Allies and Soviets, and then we introduced a bit of GDI and Nod, and then finally made custom stuff. We got really wild and had zombies (ala, Resident Evil) battle us while limited only to men for some missions (ala, our version of the ants, you could say). It was really fun, becuase we had a big room to do it in all summer for a few years, and sometimes we played outside. One of those summers, we had a third buddy and my brother (very limitedly) join in too with their own Legos. What a blast. Brings back good times. I had some sweet tanks and an awesome Nuke Silo, though at the end, we started making alot of smaller, simple units instead of a few complicated ones. We traded quality for quantity becuase we had a habit of taking apart five good things we'd buy to add to one existing unit instead of making, say three decent ones. Half of the stuff was sadly destroyed by random small children or during transport while in storage (at my buddy's mom's house, alot of kids go there), and the other half is probably still in tact in various places, but it's mostly a few small simple things. I think I probably still have some in my closet.

When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding.

When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn’t lifting himself up, he’s pushing the Earth down.

Legos. Legos are fucking awesome. I still have a bunch leftover from when I was really young, and I still play with them from time to time.

I get bored a lot, so sometimes when I'm waiting for something like a friend to come pick me up or something like that I throw a few Legos together. In the last couple months I actually put down a little time to it one day and now I have this sweet little spaceship thing, and a small group of custom figures to mess with. If only they'd fit inside the ship Sad
