Who here finds that they wellow away to many hours playing on Rengade?

I seem to find that i spend near enough every hour of my spare time on Renegade or something related to the game!

In a sense Renegade is like Nicotine (never tried it and don't wanna)...you just end up attached to it Huh

4 me it's kinda a worry cus i am in Yr 10 now and i shouldn't be spending so much time on it! Dont Get It

Who else here finds it addictive?

I don't really get 'addicted' per sae, i just continue to do something because it diminishes my boredom.

At the question at paw, i don't really play Renegade often as it's not installed, but when i get my rig setup i'd play it again.

I'm willing to bet the people saying 'go outside' , spend as much time on Renegade as bat66.

Seeing as you're ten, you have to spend plenty more time with schoolwork.

Try reading a book every month, because although you may hate doing it now, ten years down the line, you'll thank yourself. Smile

Or, you can try reading the newspaper. I started reading the front page section when I was 12. It takes a while to read through the first section, but your parents will be happy to help you learn about the world around you.

Of course, you can always play a good game of 'kick the can' . Big Grin

heh, I can imagine getting addicted to this game when you'r new.. I was once way to addicted to this game, but that was like 3 years ago. Now a days I play a couple of games from time to time just for the sake of it. Frankly Renegade is the only game I play. Because its unique, and so far no Renegade 2 has come out, so I doubt the addiction will come back.

I don't see a problem with a Renegade addiction as you don't harm anybody with it. Unlike alot of other addictions besides that Renegade end's after a amount of time ( Just one round/map), unless marathon.. so it's not World of Warcraft like game-type which really hooks people up.

Your still young I would take it while you still can, the only downside I see of the time that I played Renegade alot. Is that there was so much to learn which I am doing right now. Which you won't learn when you spend your time playing games... at the other side it has also has its good things, online buddy's could become real life friends, and so on. As long as you do don't let the imporant things in life go before Renegade, school, sleep, dinner ecta. Enjoy your free time with what you like to do that's why your young!.

Good speech however he isn't Ten, hes in year 10. Which would make him 14/15. But I totally agree with reading a book, I use to hate reading books, found it boring but then I actually sat down one evening and read it properly and now I read a new book once a month or so.

I do read books just not much! I am very good at spelling and reading allthough Essays etc are not my strong point->

I would go outside frankly and get awat from this computer sometimes but here good old England it's like -10c out there LOL

Not much to do....except feed and stroke the Rabbit In Love

I do agree though...i do let it slip a little bit with H/W & deffinitely sleep->This is gonna sound so sad of a person my age!

I stay up practiacally all night from 12:00pm to sometimes 6:00am just looking up stuff on Google, Modding or learning how to mod/script 4 renegade & most of all playing it!

I guess i do this just cus it beats the Daytime here at my house!

My mum is constantly stressed and shouts like mad! My Dad's a arse and it' just generally hell on Earth here->So i figure it's better to stay up all night relaxed doing what i want in peace & quite no interuptions Big Ups

I know i will grow out of this though Big Ups Huh

I was just like this with RA2! Now that brings good memories In Love

I had the best of mates on that...i would chat exchange ideas with people and most of all play with em against other people online!

I was so addicted to it then i did not even realise i had an addiction-< The graphics weren't that good an all it was still all 2D but the experience i would gain from playing and especially making my own maps and testing em then exchanging it with people online was just --OUT OF THIS WORLD--

My favourite side was the Ally's...i loved thise Prisom Towers!
OMFG! I even remember the units names Rocked Over

Well said and you spoke for me too!

I used to be so addicted to it but now, while I still do play the game whenever I can afford to, I am more for the community.

Besides, I have lost a lot of my spare time due to work.

Maintaining a good Ren addiction is rather difficult when one's network sucks donkey nuts.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.
