http://www.fileplanet.com/180410/180000/fileinfo/Far-Cry-Full-Game-%5BFree-Game- --Ad-Supported%5D

I haven't tried to download it since I already own it, but I heard it might only be available to people in the US.

It's also ad-supported, but if you're cheap and want to complain about a game that's free then there are mods available to remove the ads.

Hehe, I was going to download it, But I need my HDD Space. D:

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Don't forget the other three Ubisoft games that are ad-supported; Rayman: Raving Rabids, Ghost Recon, and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

I would DL it but I have it, got it for $15 a year and a half ago at wal-mart.

I really do like the way the game industry is going, giving away free games for everyone!

It's nice, but if morons keep making modifications to disable the advertising which makes the game free, it may not last all that long.

Yes; it's the full game. It just has ads thrown into it so they can be compensated for releasing their game for free.

Targetted Advertising. The advertisers probably dont want to pony up dollars to advertise to a country they dont sell to. I downloaded it. It seems... interesting. I like throwing rocks but man is it hard. I know I'm playing on the hardest difficulty but its like... unfair. I'm laying prone in the jungle sniping at a guy in a tower when wham shot in the back of the head once by a mercenarie who just happened to know exactly where I was. You have no chance to retaliate either they hit you and you're dead... :/

All you have to do is change your Ubi account to US. At least, that's what I'm told; I'm not sure you can change it after setting it.

Yep, you can.

Also, here's a mod that changes the menu to something more awesome, and as a side effect, removes the ads: http://farcry.filefront.com/file/Techy_Menu;27916

Yes you can change it after setting it. That was what I did after I WTFed at the installer screen.
As for the link to remove the thing : This is the fixed one

Yes you can change it after setting it.

That's what I said. Thumbs Up

The ads aren't ingame. They're only two banner ads on the menu and a video one that pauses the loading of a level and resumes after the ad is finished.

Do not bother getting it, no way to bypass the US only, registed the account as in United states, google'd a NY state zip code, the Installer uses an IP check, dont bother with ANY of the ubisoft ad supported games, as they all need ubi.com acomean ladys Angry

You don't have to put in the zip code. Plus, mine works, so maybe they added a check recently...

Part of the reason for releasing this is definitely to build up hype for this:

So any good way to disable THE AD because there is only one and its really fucking annoying.

I tried one thing where you just have FRAPS on in the backround but it causes the game to crash all the damn time and randomly slow down.
