What dose the internet not have that we want? There is porn, flash games, porn, instant messaging, porn, online video games, did I mention porn? Why would you change that!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?! Angry

Same here, it isnt a bad thing, because I think that things will get more efficient that way, and it will not make our current internet go away, it will just gradually be moved to the new internet.

I welcome an internet designed from the ground up with, among other things, online gaming and large file transfers in mind.

Think of the size of files that had to be transferred when the Internet was designed, think of the size now, and think of the size in 20 years. Online gaming was spawned by the Internet may years after it was designed, so obviously it was no where near their minds when it was designed.

Proxies could become useless if a proper trace mechanism was introduced... think of Uplink. Given law enforcements wants, it's not too unrealistic, even if it is a bad idea for privacy.
