'HTGunny'Sep 16 2006, 03:12 PM'

hi - i aint gunny but i thought i would reply here
Cassie died on the second of september durin a surgury that was supposed to help -
i miss her dearly - she was my aunt and i admired her a whole bunch - she was everything i wanted to be

i sorta inherited her computor as well as a bunch of other things - i think i am the only 15 year old girl with a 2006 harley davidson softail - lol she love that bike

i was goin thru her computor and found a bunch of skins and what not she was workin on for some of the people here - - i think i will try to finish them - cause she was never one to leave loose ends -

apparently she liked most of the people here as there were alot of notes in her diary about this site and Dark, wite, carrier, yon, are just a few that i can think of.

i miss her , but i thought i would just let ya all know. besides she told me to when i could , lol

oh well have fun in ren and buh bye

brat

I'm not sure how many of you remember =HT=Gunny, the older ones here will. Some of you know she was diagnosed with cancer.

Anyway, I'm making this post to let you know that she passed away. I don't know what else to say.

Here's the thread over at the HT forums.

I hate these kind of things. I saw her post about this and everything. It's just really weird to think about; that I once saw her around when she was alive... and now she's dead.

Ironically I was just thinking when something like this would happen "to me". I can't say I knew her very well, but my fiancee and I (who are both big gamers) were just discussing the possibility of someone that we know through gaming having something terrible happen to them - such as this.

Anyone that gives something selflessly to another should be praised regardless of how large or small that contribution or intention for the contribution was.

Like my gamer-dedicated-life tombstone will say...

There are some tokens of respect floating around in some communities if anyone is interested:

There are more out there aswell, apologies if I didn't list yours.

This might be a good time to bring up grid.org and Folding@Home both of which offer you an opportunity to help researchers process the tons of data they have from their research in the hopes of one day finding a cure for many of todays diseases.

I signed up for Floding[at]Home today, and it runs in the background on the lowest possible priority, just using my idle CPU. It's a painless way to contribute to this research, if you would like to.
