Last night I saw, although not the greatest show ever, certainly the greatest show I'll have the privilage of seeing.

Queen + Paul Rogers.

Yea, that's right. Eight thumbs up. It was THAT good.

Although I really couldn't give a shit about Paul (In fact he made it all that much worse, with his terrible vocals and incessant "Bad Company" songs he mixed in with classic Queen), Seeing the two remaining active members of Queen made it very worth it.

Brian May (Guitarist) is now offically a god in my eyes. I've seen him play before, but there's just something about seeing him play live...


They're touring the US as we speak. Go see them! NOW!!

Do you think they will come to Canada too?
I have their concert on a DVD and it is quite good, however, I too think that Paul Rogers just isn't Freddy. Damm I wish he was still alive....

Bring on Eric Clapton in May! Ginger Baker on drums! Such a good drummer!

Red Hot Chili Peppers in July. (Met Chad Smith (drummer)).

If I could afford it I'd go to the Eagles' fairwell tour. I'd love that so much.

Also, Download and Rosfest would be awesome to go to.

If Queen + Paul Rogers come to the NEC I'll be there for sure. Brian May is a legend of the highest order.

I've saw one popular concert of Queen in England from 1989 this december on a tv channel. That was just godly.

Definatly got the The Eagles on their farewell tour as they passed by me in Toronto last year. My opinion and love for their music was only amplified. There was a 3 minute brass intro to Hotel California, it was stellar.

I dunno. I got pretty good seats (Stageside, second row, middle) for a little under $100.

Paul Rogers isn't Freddy, and he never can be. They only let him sing the most basic (Vocally) songs. Brian May did "Love Of My Life" by himself, they stuck with a recording of Freddy for "Bohemian Rhapsody", and Roger Taylor sang "Days Of Our Lives".


Plus there were lots of songs by Bad Company that, while solid classics, I just didn't want to hear. I came for Queen, not for "Do You Like Making Love".

"Feel Like Makin' Love" Razz

You can't really go and see Queen. You can see the two remaining members, but it'll never be Queen. You really can't go see a band that doesn't have their signature member. Seeing Skynyrd last May wasn't exactly the same, luckily, Johnny sounds close enough to Ronnie that it didn't make a whole big difference. They did have Rossington, though. Very Happy
