RenGuard InstallShield Error [message #192595]

Hello,
I've reinstalled my PC. I tried to instal RG but then I got this error (the error is dutch). I got the same error like these guys here http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&goto=77292 &rid=20817&srch=InstallShield#msg_77292

You have an Athlon 64? Do you also have Windows XP 64-bit edition? If so, RenGuard is incompatible with it.

In any case, you can manually install RenGuard by reading this:

Okeee, I installed it but how can I instal the NO-CD crack?
And how can I update it to CP2?

You would install a No-CD crack through any means you normally would have. RenGuard does not install a No-CD crack for you.

Once you have RenGuard installed, you should be able to simply run it. If it does not start to install CorePatch 2, you should make sure that CorePatches are enabled in your RenGuard options screen.

If I remember correctly, CorePatch 2 includes the game2.exe which comes with The First Decade, which does not require a CD (nor does it require The First Decade -- it is completely compatible with your current CDs).

Oke, RG is working now, I also have CP2 installed. But when I locate myself at RG.com I don't see myself. It keep saying that I ain't running RG.

If you are using WOL to connect to a server, then make sure that you restart RenGuard every time you change nicknames.

For the people with the same problem, did is what I did:
- First reinstal Renegade or make sure you've the original files.
- Download this en read the readme
- Run Renegade, probaly the CP1/CP2 do not run, so instal CP1 fist. Here's the link http://download.renguard.com/standalone_cp1.zip
- Instal it. Afther you are done, run Renegade and CP2 will be install now.
- Now your RG should work

Note: You shouldn't have to install CP1 and then CP2. As far as I know CP2 contains all of the files and fixes that were in CP1, plus the extra CP2 stuff.
