Hello,
I have been kicked off lots of servers for not using RenGuard. And I keep on telling them that renguard doesn't work, but they don't believe me.
When I am completely sure that I am connected to the internet and renegade multiplayer plays w/o renguard, I click on join game in GameSpy Arcade 2.0, it goes on to RenGuard and says:
FAILED TO RECIEVE LIST OF AVAILABLE MASTER SERVERS. CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION.
Then, when I uninstall RenGuard the game works (multiplayer,) but then i get kicked off. But my internet is completely fine.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

You need to make sure that RenGuard is allowed to connect to the internet, ports 80 and 6300. Check your firewall. If you have any Anti-virus software (for example, Norton AntiVirus), make sure that it's allowing RenGuard to connect to the internet.

I have a different thing.
When I run game.exe this happens.

It says: game.exe generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You must run it again.
An error log is being created.
After a few sec. the RENGUARD 1.03 window turns off all by itself.
When I use game2.exe it works fine, I can play online and all. But some servers require RENGAURD and I want it to work correctly.
I have both the latest Renegade and Renguard versions.
I also installed all available mappacks for Renegade.
As I am not able run Rengaurd I dont think I have the CP1 and CP2
SYSTEM SPECS:
ATHLON 1700+
RADEON 9550 with OMEGA DRIVERS
SBLive! with standard drivers.
WINDOWS 2000 PRO SP4 with all the latest updated (did it today)
512 MB RAM DDR
Other:
DAEMON Tools
Avast 4 Home
USB ADSL Modem
And NO the Compatibility Mode dones not make it work.

Renguard does not run on Windows 2000 systems yet. The new Renguard (1.04) due out in a couple of weeks will support Windows 2000. Untill then I advice you go post on the forums of the servers you want to play on, mentionning this fact and asking to take it in account while you play. Maybe a screenshot showing you are on Windows 2000 while being logged in to their forums can confirm you really are.
