Is it true that when u use RG your fps drop and you lag?
cause when i enter ALT, CTRL, and DEL and i see
Game.exe taking about 20000-40000k and game2.exe which takes about 80000+ and is killing my FPS an my ping now is around 200
which i normaly get around 80-150

Only if your computer royally sucks.

RenGuard does not noticeably affect your framerate or your ping during normal operation.

well when i press start when rg starts so i cna play without my fps goes to 40+ and my ping is dropped by 1/4

Then obviously if by closing renegade and reopening it, its a renegade problem and nothing to do with renguard...

I don't think RG uses bandwidth, so your ping won't be effected. If you have a very small amount of RAM then it could hurt you slightly. But if you have such a small amount that it would do that then you should be getting more anyway.

RenGuard currently uses about 5-10 KiB each way when it first connects, depending on how many files it needs to scan (for example, map files). Then, every time a new map loads, it uses about another 5-10 KiB each way. While it is idle, it uses 512 bytes every 30 seconds.

Compare that to your Renegade client and it's practically nothing. Even a 56k modem can handle it with ease. That doesn't mean you should play Renegade with a 56k modem... your (not anyone else on the server, for those retards that think 56k users causes lag for the entire server) Renegade client most likely will not be able to play any decent-sized game (eg, 16+ players). That is, unless you like playing 4-players-or-less games...?

Edit:
note that those numbers are rough guesstimates with my large installation, your client probably uses less

what problems? i reinstalled the game and a CP1 (after complete removing both renegade and rg) several times and this problem was again.
my renegade is from C&C Collector's Edition i bought two months ago.

How does that mean its renguards fault if it does sort itself out by a quick restart of renegade?

That's not a RenGuard problem...I used to have that same issue all the time, before RG even existed. It turned out to not be Renegade at all, but my sound card driver freaking out and using a lot of CPU for reasons unknown.

Before installing RenGuard, my computer didn't have a problem. Wait, it still doesn't have any problems. None that are related to RenGuard, anyways.

What's your point? Maybe you just didn't notice the problem until after you installed RenGuard?

everything became clear for me.
RG sometimes causes fps to drop only when i connect to WOL. but i didn't play renegade online before installing RG. so I didn't have this lag before installing RG.

Hmmm.. I never had a problem with Renguard nor that Renguard lags the game on me. Some possible factors that this is happening is your computer specifications and Internet connection.
