I play nice with RG, shut the pc down....and guess what: YOU NEED RG TO PLAY ON THIS SERVER.....This is not good...!!!!

Don't want to reinstall the game every 2 days....so I am off.
I liked it, but there are so many bugs, that even a calm grtman says :NO!

They need better methods of detection that people are using the program..

I cant imagine how you can play with a pc that you just have turned off.

When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"

No, he's saying when he restarts his PC after installing renguard, it won't work. but, it will work before he restarts.

Like ESP? I don't understand. This person needs to make sure the name that RenGuard greets him as is the same name that he wants to play as.

thats the problem with windows xp... allways f...... something up

when i installed the arcade gamespy not so long ago, i could not log in as rammstein as i used to do, but i had to create a new name so i am called rammsteln on gamespy, if i had windows 98 i am sure i would not have that problem.

if you have time you could REMOVE it ALL, make sure there are no files left (uninstall don't remove it all) then when you are sure there are no file in gamespy, westwood or rg, you can install it and it should work...

worked for me when i had a looked like problem

Like with all programs you need a certain level of intelligence to use RenGuard. I got renguard about 3 hours after it was first released and the only problem i had was uninstalling the very first version, and even then it took me 1 min to figure out how to fix it. And renguard crashed about 5 times sense I first got it.

Try reading the readme file and the Beginners Guide. And what Crimson said most likely is what's causing his problem.

What I mean is sometimes you will log in with the correct name but the server won't see that you are using renguard. It's happened to me but all I had to do was restart the program.
If the server side client had a different way of detecting that its clients were on renguard, it could eliminate this problem, like the one noodles is having now

Hi again, I was so pissed that evening! Sorry for that....

My problem is, that I get a "server welcome" with my name I am playing with, so everything should be fine.

I also "reactivated" my WOL account, in case that would be the problem, but no sucess.
If the problem is on my side, how could I gain control of it?

After changing the server, it lasted for about half an hour...Great!!!

My question is (will leave you alone with this story after): Are the officials able to help, or don't they have a clue, too?

A short answer will do...(I didn't ever receive a hint that matches my problem, people only said: reinstall, change partition and so on)

I miss a sticky from the officials (a "read me" won't do it) on how to fix this issue.Read many posts with problems like mine, but someone seems to don`t
care about that part of the community...

So, I am looking forward for bringing light "in"...

More answers can be usually found in our support chatroom. Without more information, there is not really anything I can say.
