I actually laughed, and then felt bad.

I still think Schiavo shouldn't be fed, but let's keep the debate to the other thread in the hot topics.

Problem with that is Reborn is public domain, Terri is not and should not be recieving media coverage.

Well, that and the fact that Reborn sucks.

This is one of the least offensive things I have seen so far. The worst being the Terri (erotic) fanfiction - the flash parody of counterstrike (at least i think its counter strike,) and Terri Schiavo - and I think there is at least 1 music video. There are some real sick people out there.

This is the buisness of all of America when an innocent woman is put into a death camp and being starved to death, then when Your state and the nations fucktard judges agree that's okay to do.

Sniper, how about your fat ass not eat for the next 3 weeks. I bet you couldn't even do till midnight tonight you piece of shit. your going to burn in hell for laughing at that.

They should jsut put her out of her misery and give her a lethal injection. Who wants to be a vegetable the rest of their life? Then having your feeding tube taken out then put back in several times. Then debates and crap whether to keep it out or keep it in, that just sucks. Put her out of her misery, staving to death would suck and so would being a vegetable the rest of your life. Lethal injection = quick and painless.

No one is going to be rotting in hell for laughing at that. This has already been discussed across planet internet at length. Leave her be, the only reason any one cares is because they have seen it on tv... otherwise no one would give a shit... in sixteen months no one will care. Or remember.

Jeb Bush, our state governor, has been leading the front to keep her alive. He's our state representative. The only people allowing this to happen are Judge Greer and others who'd rather let her die than give her a chance to live.

I'd hate to live in a nation where your living will needs to be made before you can be kept alive, otherwise life support won't last too long.

...which is kind of ironic, seeing how one doesn't have the right to die.

Problem with this is, both sides have a very strong argument to which there might be no conclusion. I admit I was for ending her life in a humane way, but now I'm not so sure.

No flashy signature..

Jeb Bush tried, yes that is true. But not hard enough. Saying he and or his brother can do no more is bullshit. You can't tell me he doesn't have more power than some judge in a small county. If he REALLy wanted her to live he'd risk his office and go get her instead of worring about votes or w/e is stopiing him from doing so.

Actually, the right-to-die side has a ridiculously weak argument that works only in a legal setting.

But then again, the only reason it has any strength is because the right-to-life argument can't support itself in court very well.

With coma's, and its not like on tv where you just lie there for years on end with your eyes closed, if you don't wake up within 30 days the chances of your ever recovering are minimal, at best.

She has been there 15 or so years, no improvement. Only her brainstem functions.
Even of she was kept alive, she would never get better.

As for living wills. That's what the court have been arguing about all this time, and it hasn't been just one judge. She had no living will, so it had to be established what her intentions would have been. Over and over they have agreed that she would not want to live this way, if you can call it living. Without enough grey matter you cant even call it existing.

You are right; wrong word. Its been described more as a none responsive vegetative state. Although I am still sure about her making no (,almost no- i'm not 100%) progress in 15 years. I think I will have to go and do some reading on this to make sure I have a good grasp of the situation.

No, he'd be saving an innocent human life. Fuck seperation of powers clause. Im all for law and order, but at times you've gotta go with your gut and do whats right and this is right.

She has never been given rehabilitation, (spelt wrong) You have no idea what condition she could be in and you can't say she that over the past 15 years she coudlnt' have possibly gained SOME function back if it would have been allowed. But the saint of a husband (*cough bullshit*) has ordered there be none. Yea he really cares about his wife doesn't he, and don't forget his mistriss either. yes after the things she's gone through now with the starvation she's probebly done for no matter what we do. It sucks, this whole situation sucks.
