Small question...

Is the only way to buy the HL2 "pack" trough steam? I wan't to try a demo of HL2 to see how it works on my pc. But i saw you need a steam account, but i can't get that since i have no credit card.

I would like some more info on that please... Confused

Oh Half Life 2, the puzzles piss me off...

You'll get better.

I played about 6 hours yesterday, 2 the day before, and I still suck. I can't keep a positive ratio. I also hate how I can have a person at point blank distance with their head in my crosshairs, start unloading on them, and not even land a shot. Then I go and see a person with their crosshairs 3 CM to the left of someone unload and clear out a room.

CS is not a n00b game like Renegade were you get good after one day of playing. It has things you have to get used to before you can even begin to start getting leet, you must adjust to the gameplay for one, which is different from any other game out there, the maps are finley detailed and not small go this way or this way and BANG the enemey WILL be there as in Ren, the recoil of guns and the amount of guns that are going to be used against you.

It'll take a while, i sucked for about the first month and i was baout ready to stop playing back when i started 3 years ago, then something clicked and i just got ithe hang of it Smile

Today when I was playing, I unloaded like 20 rounds into 2 different guys, and it only registered like one hit on each. It was such bs. Also, there is the laggy hitbox problem. You can shoot behind people and still kill them. I've had that happen to me quite often as well. Other than that, I love the game.

Yeah j', I've had the exact same experiences. I was blasting the crap outta enemies only to receive one shot kill from them... Wink

I'm way to noob with the game to determine if it's legit or not. Are there Source hacks this early in the game?
Also, when you get hit by enemy fire, is it normal for your character to 'hesitate' as if stunned? Is that designed realism or lag artifact?
