It's time for a RenGuard update!

RenGuard 1.1 is in progress. The connection code is being reworked by the lovely Scorpio9a to ensure more reliable connectivity with the master servers and auto-reconnect in the event that your connection with a master fails.

RenGuard 1.1 will also feature some sound enhancements including volume control, and support for proxy servers. (those of you who need this know who you are)

We also spend quite a bit of time working on the backend network. mac is tirelessly working on improving the reliability of the master servers. Several weeks ago, we were informed of a RenGuard exploit which was fixed within hours on the master servers.

However, BHS' primary focus is Core Patch 1, which is nearing completion.

We don't have an ETA for either item yet, but the team works on these projects every day, and we'll get them to you as soon as we can.

Some of the levels come with balance modifications, such as FieldTS, Snow, and so forth.

All of mine that you'll be playing, you ought to expect to see more of a balanced game going on.

Wish we could include a Spectator Mode for Renegade too Very Happy Many manufacturers have incorporated this into their games. Sure would cut down on the cheaters. Just select player who's view you wish to see and piggyback.......You'll see everything they see...right on

spectator mode, bah ppl will just use it in bad manner, but ya it would help get rid of cheaters of the server does not use renguard
